download area offers free firmware upgrades for select GARMIN units. The
upgrades only apply to the units and versions listed, as they are specific
to the hardware platform hosting the software. Instructions for updating
your software are available for each download listed below. Please use the
appropriate link for each download.
Special Note:
Some units are shipped with a preloaded map database containing cities
and/or marine nav-aids. If MapSource data is loaded to any of these units,
this preloaded map database will be erased. To remedy this, a download
option has been placed on the applicable units' software download page that
will enable you to recover these preloaded map databases.
